Unity — Connect. Share. Grow.

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 26 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Unity app and website, operated by Maveric Infotech ("Unity", "we", "us"). By registering for an account, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use Unity. Unity is currently focused on the Pandharpur and Solapur districts, with other regions to follow.

2. Account registration & verification

Registration requires a valid phone number, verified by one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Account activation

Your account remains in a limited "pending" state until both of the following are true: (a) you have paid the one-time activation fee shown in the app at the time of payment, and (b) at least the required number of people you referred have also registered and paid their own activation fee. Activation status is determined solely by our systems and cannot be manually claimed.

4. Referral program

The referral program is designed to grow a trusted local network. Referral links may only be shared with real people who consent to receive them. Creating fake accounts, self-referring, or otherwise manipulating the referral system is prohibited and may result in account suspension. The referral program does not offer cash payouts or monetary rewards for referrals — its only effect is on your own account's activation status.

5. Payments

The activation fee is processed securely through Razorpay. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details on when a refund may apply.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent help requests or fundraisers.
  • Impersonate another person or organisation.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other members.
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to circumvent the phone verification, activation, or moderation systems.

7. Content & posting

Posting fundraisers, appeals, and community updates is limited to accounts approved as authors by our admin team. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant Unity a licence to display it within the app for the purpose of connecting it with the community. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our community standards, without prior notice.

8. Disclaimers

Unity is a platform that connects people — it does not itself provide medical, financial, or emergency services, and is not a substitute for contacting emergency services directly where appropriate. We do not guarantee the outcome of any help request, fundraiser, or referral, and are not a party to any arrangement made between members. Unity is not currently a registered charity or NGO; fundraisers hosted on the platform are community-organised unless explicitly stated otherwise.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unity and Maveric Infotech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to reliance on content posted by other members.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform in a way that harms other members or the community.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Solapur, Maharashtra.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Unity after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
